Villanova Staff
Paige Cull: Manager / Performance Coach
Paige has been with Summit Sports Training Center
for four years. She has worked in all
areas of Summit. She created various Plyometic protocols for swimmers, both
in-season and out-of-season and protocols for the junior athlete. After her own ACL surgery, she created an ACL
Prevention program as well as a Post ACL Recovery Program to be used at Summit.
She coached for three years at the U.S. Naval Academy Water Polo Camp, three
years at Princeton Water Polo Camp, and spent one year coaching, as well as served
as Assistant Director, at Bucknell Water Polo camp. Paige also coached at the Premier
Water Polo camp, held at Texas A&M and attended
P.A.C.E. Coaches Clinic by USA Water Polo in Chicago, Illinois.
Paige is a former NCAA D-I Water Polo head coach
for nearby Villanova University and the Assistant Coach for Bucknell University. She also served as a Graduate Assistant Coach
for Swimming and Water Polo at Utica College of Syracuse University. As a water
polo player for Bucknell University she was All-Conference twice, as well as
team MVP in her senior season and received the team’s leadership award after
her junior year campaign. During those years she set five school records for number
of goals and steals. She was a three year starter and was captain in her senior
year. Originally from Michigan, she also swam and played softball in high
school, earning varsity letters all four years in each sport.

Jeff Morgan: Assistant Manager/ Performance Coach
Jeff Morgan attended Cabrini College on a
lacrosse scholarship where he was starting midfielder for two years before transferring
to the University Of Delaware. After college he played semi-pro football for
two years before getting invited to the pro scout combine. At this combine he
scored in the top 5% of all attendees earning him an invitation to the NFL elite
combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jeff produced high scores in the pro agility,
vertical jump, bench press and forty tests which were performed in front of
several scouts from the NFL, CFL, AFL and NFLE. During this time he took the
manager position at the Bryn Mawr facility now located in Villanova. There he
worked with such players as Willie Green (Philadelphia 76ers), Jameer Nelson
(Orlando Magic), Kyle Lowry (Memphis Grizzlies), Steve Smith (NBA), Dwayne
Jones (Cleveland Cavaliers), Chris Vincent (Arizona Cardinals), Demetrious
Hopkins (Light Heavyweight champ), Harry Yorgey (154lb Boxer), and several
other NBA, NBADL, NFL, and AFL players. He also served as strength coach with
Saint Josephs University Men’s and Women’s basketball teams over the past two
seasons. Most recently Jeff participated in Slam ball, a full-contact sport
that involves trampolines built into the floor using rules from football,
basketball, hockey and gymnastics. He survived tryouts and played the Stopper
position for the MOB. Jeff’s other hobbies include Boxing and Ju-Jitsu, and participated
in tough man competitions.

Jana Rediger: Morning Fitness Director/ Performance Coach
As a graduate of Pennridge High school, Jana
earned all-state honors in Basketball. She attended Villanova University on a full
five-year Basketball scholarship. While at Villanova, she helped the team
achieve a ranking of 8th in the nation and to defeat the University of
Connecticut to win the Big East Championship. Jana held the Villanova record for the most
blocks in a sweet sixteen game with seven blocks. She received a B.A. in Communications and
continues to study towards a graduate degree.
Jana played basketball professionally in Germany
and Finland for several years and coached camps in Ireland. She has served as a coach at numerous camps
and clinics, including numerous Villanova Team Camps and Clinics, and spoke at The
Mary Anne Crowe Camp. In the fall of
2005, she ran the preseason strength and Conditioning program for Centenary
College in NJ. Jana is also currently
working towards her NASM certification and continues to expand her knowledge of
sports specific training and fitness.
She has been working at Summit Sports Training Center for over five
years as a Sports Performance Coach and recently Morning Fitness Director.

Jim Gorman: Performance Coach
Jim’s fascination with weights and training began
at Wyomissing Area High School where he was a three sports athlete. He
graduated with a B.S in Health and Physical Education from West Chester
University where he played football and was a member of the power lifting team.
He worked at a series of fitness centers in Reading, PA, managing two of them.
Jim was a competitor in power lifting, in addition to coached three individual
state champions in bodybuilding and two in power lifting. He promoted NPC PA
state bodybuilding championships in 1986 & 1988.
Jim has been a member of the National Strength
and Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 1986, he earned
his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Credential (CSCS) in the national
exams in 1987. Joined Sports Physical Therapists in Bala Cynwyd and supervised
the centers fitness programs in addition to assisting staff therapists. Also
assisted Pat Croce in conditioning Philadelphia 76ers for several years and
served as the full time strength and conditioning coach in both 1993-94 and
1996-97. Named Philadelphia Magazines “Best of Philly”
personal trainer in 1996. Head strength and
conditioning coach for Philadelphia Rage (ABL) in 1997-98, a team that included
All-Star Dawn Staley. Strength & conditioning coordinator for La
Salle men’s basketball team 2000-01, team members included Victor Thomas and
Raual Butler.

Steve Musacchio, BS, CSCS, USAW: Performance
Coach
Steve will graduate this May from West Chester
University with a Masters of Science in Exercise and Sport Physiology. He is
presently finishing his Master’s Thesis on biomechanical considerations of
sport, specifically golf. His thesis, “In-season Strength and Plyometric
training for Collegiate Golfer,” focuses on identifying the muscles used in the
golf swing, and what forces are acting on the body. Steve hopes to designe a
golf training program that will enhance the golf swing beyond that of
traditional golf strength training. While studying for his Masters degree at
WCU, Steve was a Graduate Assistant in the Kinesiology Department, directing
undergraduate students in developing comprehensive conditioning programs for
athletes and faculty members. Steve also acted as a consultant to various
colliegate coaches at the Division II level and served as the volunteer Men and
Women’s Golf Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Steve currently serves as a part-time
volunteer Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, working
with one of the most well-respected strength
departments in the NFL. He completed an internship with the team during the
2008 off-season and also aided in the 2008-2009 in-season strength program. In
2007 Steve lived in New Hampshire, where he worked as a Personal Trainer/
Strength and Conditioning Coach at a well-established sports and fitness
facility near Dartmouth College. While in NH, he also worked part-time at a
local boarding school, both as a dorm supervisor and Strength and Conditioning
Coach for the Men’s lacrosse team. In 2005 Steve graduated from the University
of Delaware with a B.S. degree in Health Behavior Management with a
concentration in Sports Management and a minor in Business Fundamentals. Steve
is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National
Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Certified Sports Performance
Coach through the United States Olympic Weightlifting Committee (USAW).

Rodrick McDowell: Performance Coach
Rod received his Bachelor of Science in Sport
Management in 2007 from Neumann College. He received All-Catholic and
All-County honors in football and baseball, as well as bowling, while attending
Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic High School in Norristown. He is currently the
assistant coach for the Kennedy-Kenrick bowling team. Rod is also a former
varsity assistant coach for football and baseball, and former head coach for
the freshman baseball and football teams at KKCHS. He is currently studying to
receive his NASM Certification.

Kirstin Defusco: Performance Coach
Kirstin attended Drew University where she
received a B.A. in psychology. While at Drew, she was a four-year
letter-athlete on the field hockey team in the defense and midfield. She also
earned a spot on the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Academic team. During her
tenure, she was a member of two conference championship teams as well as making
an appearance in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2004. The team traveled to Australia
in 2005, where they played against top level field hockey teams in Sydney, Gold
Coast and Cairns. In her senior year, she was unanimously voted captain by her
teammates. In her junior year at Drew, she was recruited to play for their nationally
ranked lacrosse team as a midfielder. In the two years that she played, she
proved to be a central member and helped her team to win the MAC title and an
appearance in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in her senior year. In 2007, the team had
the opportunity to travel to Europe competing in Ireland, England and Scotland
against the national teams of each country. In order to maintain and improve
her athletic ability, Kirstin also trained at Summit during the off-seasons of
her collegiate career.
Upon graduating in 2007, she became the head
junior varsity coach for the field hockey team at Kent Place School. In the
following seasons, she coached volleyball and lacrosse at The Peck School. She
is also involved in numerous youth programs, camps and clinics in both field
hockey and lacrosse. A native of the Philadelphia area, Kirstin graduated in
2003 from Germantown Academy where she was a four-year member of the field
hockey and swim teams. Kirstin is currently a graduate assistant working
towards her Master’s degree in Sports Psychology at Temple University.

West Chester Staff
Kimberly Lewis, C.S.C.S. Manager/ Performance Coach
Kim is a 3 time NCAA D-II All-American swimmer, a 9 time NCAA D-II All-American Honorable Mention, a 4 year PSAC All-Conference and a 3 time PSAC State Champion. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from West Chester University where she was a member of the swim team. Kim brings 10 years of coaching experience in the sport of swimming and has spent 4 years as an assistant coach for the mens and womens swim team at West Chester B. Reed Henderson High School. In 2003, she served as Strength and Conditioning Intern for Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA which enabled her to work with over 14 D-I teams . Kim is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Zach Torres, USA-W, LII Athletic Republic Certified, Assistant Manager/Performance Coach
Zach is a certified Sports Performance Coach through USA-Weightlifting and is also Level II certified through Athletic Republic. While attending Archbishop Carroll, Zach was a member of numerous Catholic League Football championships and Ice Hockey Flyer Cups. A graduate of West Chester University, Zach originally aspired to be a Physical Therapist but realized his passion and focused his areas of concentration in Kinesiology, Health Sciences and Coaching. Given his background, Zach’s unique approach and creative techniques help any caliber of athlete, no matter what sport they play.
Kiran Cooke Performance Coach
Kiran received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from West Chester University in May 2005. He is currently working on his Master's in Exercise Physiology at West Chester University. In high school, Kiran received numerous All-Public honors while running for Philadelphia Central High's Cross-Country and Track and Field Teams. He was also a member of West Chester University's Track and Field Team. Kiran has spent time as a Coordinator and Graduate Assistant at West Chester University's Student Fitness Center. He is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer. While working at the West Chester and Southern Chester County YMCA's, Kiran has coached a number of youth programs and camps teaching and implementing exercise and an active living.
Nicholas McCreary – Hockey Performance Coach
Nicholas is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College. Prior to attending LVC, Nicholas played his youth hockey in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Upon graduating from his area high school, he enrolled as a Post-Graduate at Wyoming Seminary Preparatory School where he played both forward and defense, being named the team’s Defensive Player of the Year. While at Sem, he was recruited by NCAA Division III Lebanon Valley College. LVC amassed an impressive record of 79-24-4, was ranked inside the Top 15 teams in the country, held the NCAA longest in-season winning streak and made one NCAA Nationals appearance during his tenure. In addition to his on-ice achievements, Nicholas was proud to be a member of the All-Academic team in three of his four years at LVC.
Nicholas has skated alongside players from USA Tier I - III Juniors, Canadian Major Juniors, NCAA Division I and III as well as the Professional ranks. He has instructed players in Elite hockey schools and has run private lessons throughout the Tri-State area into North Carolina and as far south as Florida.
Nicholas is a partner of Global Hockey Group, an on-ice Hockey Training Company specializing in the improvement of basic to elite level players through intense skill instruction and the development of innovative and realistic game play scenarios. He is also a founding partner of Alumni Sports, LLC., a company which runs an annual tournament for post-graduate players to continue participation and maintain relationships established from competitive collegiate sports in a fun and exciting environment. Nicholas is also a USA Hockey Certified Coach and the current Associate Coach for the Jr. Flyers Junior A (AJHL) and Junior B (MJHL) programs skating out of Ice Line Quad Rinks in West Chester, PA.
Jesse Wright CSCS
Jesse is the Director of Sports Performance for Summit Sports Training Center. Currently, he oversees all of the training programs for the company, and serves as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for both the Philadelphia 76ers and Saint Joseph's University. Prior to this position, Jesse served as Summit's Director, responsible for the day-to-day operations, business development, and training programs for their three facilities. As the premier sports training center in the greater-Philadelphia area, this afforded him the opportunity to work directly with numerous high level clients. This list includes members of the Philadelphia Flyers and Phantoms, Villanova University Football, Jameer Nelson (Orlando Magic), Delonte West (Cleveland Cavaliers), Bernard Hopkins (Middleweight Boxing Champion), Aaron McKie (retired – NBA) Paul Healey (NHL Veteran), David Leneveu (Phoenix Coyotes), and Chris Lubanski (Kansas City Royals). In addition, he was directly involved with designing and building three of the Summit facilities, has coordinated numerous off-site speed / agility camps and strength clinics, and has presented to many young athletes and students on various topics involving exercise, health, and overall life success.
Jesse received his degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. During his final two years of Undergraduate study there, he also served as one of the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coaches for the Athletic Department. At 20 years old, he was hired as the youngest S & C Coach in the Atlantic 10 and Big East Conferences, while overseeing the programming for the Track and Field, Softball, and Women's Gymnastics teams and assisting in the implementation of the Football and Women's Basketball teams. Upon completing his degree, Jesse spent a year with the Philadelphia Eagles, first as an intern, then as an Assistant S & C Coach. For his performance there, he was recommended to the NFL-Europe league in the Spring of 2000, where he held his first Head S & C Coach position, with the Barcelona Dragons. Hired at 23 years old, he still remains youngest Strength Coach in league history. The conclusion of this seasonal position overseas led him to Hofstra University, where he served as the Head S & C Coach for the football team during the 2000 season. Five players from this squad are currently playing professional football, either in the NFL, NFL-Europe, Arena Football, or Canadian Football Leagues. In the years of 1999 through 2001, Jesse also served as the Personal Trainer and Consultant for Marc Jackson, who spent 6 years in the NBA and is now currently playing professional basketball in Europe.
Ian Hutchinson, RKC, CSCS
Ian is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) & Russian Kettlebell challenge Certified Instructor (RKC). Ian was the strength & conditioning coach & the defensive backs coach for the Lehigh Valley Outlawz Professional Indoor Football Organization (2008) and currently plays Semi-Professional football for the Conshohocken Steelers. Ian Graduated from West Chester University in 2005 with his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a minor in nutrition while playing football, rugby and running track for the Golden Rams. Ian has over 5 years of training & coaching experience, working with athletes and individuals ranging from 8 to 86 years of age.
Ken Clark, MS, CSCS, USA-W / Director of Performance Training
Ken is the Director of Performance Training for the West Chester facility, where he serves to develop and implement the advanced strength training programs, plyometric training protocols, and injury prevention routines. Ken also directs the Combine and Test Preparation training at this facility, helping high school and college athletes maximize their performance at college combines, recruiting showcases, and professional tryouts.
Ken has his Master's Degree in Health and Physical Education from West Chester University. Ken's thesis study focused on resisted sprint training in collegiate athletes, and he presented the results of this research at conferences for the NSCA and the ACSM. Ken is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, a certified Sports Performance Coach through USA-Weightlifting, and is Level II Certified through Athletic Republic.
Ken is a 2003 graduate of nearby Swarthmore College. At Swarthmore, Ken was a two-time All-Centennial Conference Football selection at running back, setting five school rushing records. From 2003-2005, Ken coached at Dickinson College, where he was an assistant football coach and directed the speed and conditioning training for the Dickinson College Football, Baseball, and Lacrosse teams. In the summer of 2005, Ken completed a coaching internship with the Philadelphia Eagles. During the 2008-2009 school year, Ken completed internships on the coaching staffs of Villanova University Football Strength & Conditioning and Haverford College Strength & Conditioning. Ken has been on staff at Summit Sports since 2005, serving as an assistant manager from 2005 to 2006 and working in a part-time role from 2006 to spring of 2009
Lauren Kratzer
Lauren is a graduate of West Chester University, where she earned her bachelors degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition. While at West Chester, she played soccer for the women’s team. Over the summer Lauren finished her degree by completing a strength and conditioning internship at Drexel University where she was able to work with 16 Division I sports teams. Lauren brings four years experience coaching for OneOnOne Soccer, an international soccer academy and training school. There, she trained athletes up through the collegiate level and coached alongside international players such as Terry Phelan, who represented Ireland in the 1994 FIFA World Cup and Gordon Hill, a retired Manchester United Star. She is currently the assistant coach for the WCU Women’s Soccer team. In addition to being a performance coach at Summit, Lauren has taken over the morning fitness program, where she develops workouts focusing on muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular endurance, and functional health.
